Capita - Person Centred Care Conference 2014 - Making patient-centred care a reality

Renata Drinkwater, chief executive, self management uk, will be talking at the Delivering Patient and Person Centred Care Conference, to be held in London on Monday 29th of September.

Ms Drinkwater will be talking about how healthcare professionals and commissioners can deliver effective self-management as well the benefits, to both patients and NHS resources of patient activation and empowerment.

She comments: “Raising awareness of self-management and how it can be delivered efficiently and effectively is at the heart of what we do. We provide self-management training to thousands of people living with one or more long-term condition each year, and there are many more people who could benefit from this support.”

Person Centred Care Conference has been designed to help health and care services deliver the significant commitments made in the NHS Mandate to support the development of patient centred care and personalisation.

Featuring key policy makers, commissioners, providers and services users, this essential event will provide information and practical guidance to truly make patient centred care in a sustainable health and care service a reality.
